In spring and summer, brief and persistent calls announce the arrival of swifts from Africa to our skies. They fly on and on and watching their stunts in the air is delightful.
Swift is a bird incredibly adapted to fly thanks to its crossbow silhouette, forked tail, long narrow wings, small beak and very short legs. It spends most of its life in the air and remains in uninterrupted flight for 9 months a year: it feeds, sleeps and mates while flying.
SWIFT NOT SWALLOW is a small tribute to this bird, which aims to raise awareness about biodiversity in our cities.
It is a piece of birch wood, designed to be hung; it is assembled by two pieces and it is available in natural wood, yellow or black.
